  • Minimize soil compaction during harvest and fall tillage.  Compacted soil will reduce root structure development and restrict the intake of vital nutrients such as potassium.

  • Adhere to recommended seeding rates when planting.
  • Observe your alfalfa crop carefully during the first couple weeks.
